Rajasthan Chief Secretary Strengthens Centre-State Synergy in Delhi, Thanks GoI for Boosting Growth & Employment

Ananya soch: V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, visited New Delhi on Monday and held a series of high-level meetings with senior officials of the Government of India. The visit aimed at strengthening Centre-State coordination and accelerating key developmental initiatives across the state.

During his meeting with Cabinet Secretary Dr. T.V. Somanathan, the Chief Secretary expressed gratitude for timely fund releases under centrally sponsored schemes. He also briefed him on Rajasthan’s proactive measures to ensure energy security during the West Asia crisis and highlighted progress under Deregulation and Compliance Reduction Phase 2.

In discussions with Prime Minister’s Advisor Tarun Kapoor, focus was laid on the implementation of 12-point energy sector reforms, including PM-KUSUM Component C and the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The state’s two-year achievement report was also presented.

The Chief Secretary met V.L. Kantha Rao to discuss approval of the Modified Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) Project and strengthening of the Rajasthan River Basin Authority. With Piyush Goyal, deliberations focused on mining sector reforms, revenue generation, and curbing illegal mining.

Further meetings included discussions with Debashree Mukherjee on skill development programmes such as PM SETU and PM Kaushal Yojana, and operationalizing the Skill India International Centre in Jaipur. Talks with Neelam Shami Rao centered on promoting Kasturi Cotton and establishing a PM MITRA Park.

In the education sector, Sanjay Kumar was briefed on strengthening school systems, PM SHRI Schools, and the roadmap for 2026–27.

The meetings were constructive, focusing on fast-tracking infrastructure approvals and reforms across mining, education, textiles, and skill development. The visit is expected to significantly accelerate Rajasthan’s growth through enhanced collaboration with the Centre.
