Driving Digital Jaipur Forward: JDA Hosts Insightful Workshop for Influencers & Media

Ananya soch: In a significant step toward strengthening public awareness and digital engagement, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) successfully organised a dedicated workshop for social media influencers and media professionals at the Rajasthan International Centre. The initiative aimed to highlight JDA’s online services, citizen-centric facilities, innovative IT systems, and planned development strategies.

The workshop was chaired by Jaipur Development Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan, in the presence of JDA Secretary Gaurav Saini, IT Advisor R.K. Sharma, and System Analyst Mahipal Champawat, along with senior engineering officials. Participants were given a comprehensive overview of JDA’s services, policies, and digital initiatives.

Addressing the gathering, Mahajan emphasized the importance of sharing accurate and verified information about JDA’s transparent processes and citizen-friendly schemes. He urged influencers and media professionals to act as responsible communicators, ensuring that factual information reaches the public without distortion or confusion.

Simplifying Property Services & Processes
A key highlight of the session was the step-by-step explanation of JDA’s lease (patta) process—from application submission to final registration. Officials also elaborated on JDA’s administrative structure, jurisdiction, zonal divisions, and ongoing development projects, making the system easier for citizens to understand.

E-JanSunwai & IT Innovations Boost Transparency
The workshop showcased JDA’s digital public hearing system, E-JanSunwai, which operates daily from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Citizens receive same-day digital links for hearings, enabling real-time tracking of complaints. Each zone is mandated to conduct at least 12 such hearings regularly. So far, over 1000 E-JanSunwai sessions have been conducted, significantly improving accountability and transparency.

Advanced tools like GIS-based real-time monitoring are also being used to track illegal constructions, encroachments, lease recoveries, and property dues. Additionally, the portal provides information on rejected schemes and government lands to protect citizens from fraudulent property deals.

Smart Traffic & Urban Infrastructure Solutions
To tackle rising traffic congestion and unplanned parking, JDA is implementing modern engineering solutions such as rotaries, U-turns, and free left turns. Influencers were encouraged to use digital platforms to promote traffic awareness among residents and tourists.

 Community Spaces & Sports Development
JDA is revamping community centers by blending heritage with modern amenities. A new “Vibe Centre” in Zone-2 will feature an open theatre, gym, library, dining space, and rental facilities. Additionally, affordable sports infrastructure like basketball courts, skating rinks, and box football arenas will be developed to engage youth and promote fitness.

Land Pooling Scheme for Planned Growth
To curb unplanned urban expansion, JDA is implementing the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). This initiative promotes gated townships and group housing with world-class facilities such as schools, hospitals, parks, and utilities. Landowners will receive nearly 50% of developed land back, ensuring better returns. Key areas like Shivdaspura, Kalwar Road, Ajmer Road, and Diggi Road are under planning for this scheme.

Participants appreciated JDA’s proactive approach and digital transformation efforts. Concluding the session, Mahajan thanked attendees and highlighted that constructive public feedback will play a vital role in shaping future urban planning strategies.
