From Resilience to Revolution: Women Lead the New India, Says Rajyavardhan Rathore at Inspiring Women’s Day Celebration in Jaipur
Ananya soch: Celebrating the spirit of empowerment and achievement, a grand Women Felicitation Ceremony and Discussion was organized at the Constitution Club in Jaipur on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Addressing the gathering, Rajasthan’s Industry and Commerce Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that the women of Rajasthan symbolize “Resilience, Result and Revolution,” and their leadership is shaping the direction of a stronger and progressive New India.
Rathore emphasized that women’s empowerment forms the foundation of a robust society. He highlighted that initiatives launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, have significantly increased social awareness and brought visible positive change across the country. According to him, women today are excelling in every sector—from entrepreneurship and sports to administration and industry—reflecting the transformation that has gained momentum since 2014.
Speaking at the event, the minister said that various schemes introduced by the Rajasthan government have played a key role in improving the lives of women. Special incentives and additional subsidies are being provided under industry department programs to encourage women entrepreneurs and help them establish successful ventures.
He further noted that women are playing an increasingly crucial role in India’s economic growth. In the vision of Developed India 2047, small businesses run by women in villages and towns will become major drivers of economic progress. Rathore urged successful women entrepreneurs to motivate more women to join government schemes and benefit from opportunities created by both central and state governments.
During the ceremony, 11 women achievers from fields such as entrepreneurship, sports, and social service were honored with Excellence Awards. Several women employees of the department were also recognized for their outstanding contributions. In addition, an appointment letter for the position of Industry Extension Officer was presented to the daughter of a martyr.
As part of government initiatives, loan cheques were distributed to two women entrepreneurs, approval letters to nine beneficiaries, and land allotment letters under RIICO to two recipients. A live activity during the event also rewarded winners with an e-cycle and a sports bicycle.
Earlier, under the ODOP policy, ICES’s “Skill on Wheels – Kaushal Vahini” training initiative was flagged off to provide a two-day skill development program for artisans.
The event also featured inspiring testimonials from 10 women entrepreneurs who shared how government schemes helped them start and expand their businesses. Dema Mittal of Ranjka Garments revealed that support under the Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy enabled her to showcase products internationally, and she is now receiving orders from the USA.
Notably, the entire event—from planning to execution—was managed by women officers of the department, making the celebration even more meaningful.
