Railways Move Toward Digital Signalling Management

The North Western Railway has taken a major step toward digital transformation in the Jaipur division by providing 100 hand-held tablets to employees of the signal department. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan, the initiative has been launched under the Signal Maintenance Management System.
With this system, railway staff will digitally record maintenance activities and technical inspections related to signalling infrastructure. Earlier, these records were primarily maintained through paperwork. The new digital system will allow real-time updates, faster reporting, and more accurate monitoring of signalling assets, strengthening railway safety.

Mumbai Flight Delay Causes Passenger Inconvenience

Passengers at Jaipur International Airport faced inconvenience after a SpiceJet flight to Mumbai was delayed by nearly three hours.
The flight, scheduled to depart at 1:25 AM, finally took off around 4:15 AM due to technical and operational reasons. The delay forced passengers—including families, children, and elderly travelers—to wait for extended hours at the airport.

Middle East Conflict Impacts Flights

The ongoing tensions linked to the Iran–Israel conflict also affected air travel from Jaipur. Flights operated by Air India Express and SpiceJet to Dubai were cancelled, causing disruptions for passengers traveling to Gulf countries.
However, the Air Arabia service to Sharjah continued to operate normally, offering some relief to travelers.
